Our story
Rock Raises for Cancer was started as an idea in the Summer of 2023. A group of local residents, some of whom had been affected directly (and indirectly) by cancer or leukaemia, decided to hold a charity auction. This culminated at a gala social event held at The Point on 8th June 2024. In the first year, the chosen recipients were Leukemia Aid, Breast Cancer Awareness, and the Children’s Hospice South-West. We donated a total of over £35,000 to them and others.
In 2025 we held another online charity auction cluminating with a Gala evening again held at The Point.
Choosing 3 or 4 charities each year in some way associated with cancer in the South West we create ideas to raise money. In 2025 they were:
